NYSUT Facility Opens
E.E. Austin has completed a new facility for the New York State United Teachers union (NYSUT) in Jamestown, NY.
Austin was the general contractor for the entire project, a 12,000sf office building with exterior metal studs and masonry veneer, metal stud & drywall interior walls. The building houses several conference rooms and a research library space.
The Rochester Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute also awarded the job with an "Outstanding Project Award" for demonstrating how well-prepared construction documents can help achieve a successful outcome to a project.
The building was constructed by general contracting company E.E. Austin & Son, Inc. out of Falconer", Eggert said.
"He also said that the decision to use a union affiliated firm wasn't a tough one."
" It was all built by union laborers for a union," Eggert said. "They did it according to the budget and on time. It was a real quality job."
